John was ordained 30 years ago, and has worked in Norfolk, Sheffield, Coventry, Derby, Jersey, South Wales and now Folkestone. He loves music and liturgy, curry and dirty kebabs. He is married to Chris and they have three children.

Nick served for 34 years in  the Royal Air Force and for the last 9 years has headed up the National Poppy  Appeal on behalf of the Royal British Legion.  His interests revolve mainly around family activities but, when he finds the time, he enjoys offshore  sailing.

Robert spent nearly 40 years in the hotel & catering industry and has worked with older people for 8 years. He has been a Reader for 29 years and has a passion for care and social engagement for the over 60's. He loves walking, music, reading and numismatics (collecting old coins).

Frank retired from teaching in 2002, and has been a Lay Reader based at St. John's since 2006.  As far as he knows he is one of only a few people to hold a Master's degree in playing the harmonium.

Alex is a Chartered  Accountant who has worked for MAF UK for the last
17 years, and became a  licensed Reader in 2010.As well as wanting
the church to have  excellent stewardship, Alex enjoys leading and preaching and
all forms of  worship.

Steve is a retired NHS manager lucky enough to be one of the wardens at St John's. He's still trying to find out what's not included in the job description! He attends French conversation classes, loves skiing (although  is not very good), and hopes he never has to use his French in hospital in France as a result of a disaster on the slopes.  Hums Rachmaninov's piano concertos when times are tough.

After studying Theology and Missiology Ruth moved to Folkestone in 1983 to work for Mission Aviation Fellowship, where she was Press Officer, before joining the staff of St John’s 16 years ago. An avid reader, she also loves dance, tennis, music, University Challenge, Star Trek and Spooks!

Chris has been involved with Children's ministry for many years, and has written several books on the subject. She is a teacher by profession, and also heads up our All-age congregation 'All Stars' each Sunday at 9:15 am. The rest of the time she's to be found at the gym.
