Interrobang
in-ter'ro-bang n. A printed punctuation mark, indicating a mixture of query and interjection.
Welcome to the Youth Group at St John's, a place to be with friends, to learn, discuss, pray and think together. A place where it's OK to raise questions, make contributions or just be quiet and think. If you're at secondary school, you're welcome.
Interrobang meets at three different times during the week:
Interrobang Drop-in Wednesdays after school until 5:30 at 15 Middle Mead, Broadmead Village - for cake and messing around
Interrobang Worship Sunday evenings at 6:00 in the Church Hall. St John 's Church Rd - for music, prayer and teaching
Interrobang Discussion Sunday evenings 7:00 - 8:30 in the upstairs lounge - for thinking and talking.
During our two Sunday evening sessions we've been thinking about some big issues - shacking up together, winning the lottery, looking after the environment and so on. We're learning to think Christianly and Biblically about these kinds of issues. In the future we'll be thinking about what happens when we die, how to cope with peer pressure, how we find God's calling on our lives - all kinds of stuff like that, plus anything else you'd like to talk about.
Prayer Connections: We are committed to being a part of the larger community of St John's, and so we are linking young people up with ... shall we say ... 'those of more mature years' so that we can get to know one another and commit to pray for each other. Each member of Interrobang has been introduced to someone whom we hope will become their special friend, someone who is praying for us and will be there if we need them. If you would like to become a prayer partner, please have a word with John or Chris (250805).
